ESP announces its 2020 Works In Progress selection

Mothers

MOTHERS by Birute Kapustinskaite (Lithuania), produced by Rūta Petronytė, and WHEN NIGHT MEETS DAWN by Andreea Bortun (Romania), produced by Gabriela Suciu / Atelier de Film are the two works in progress selected to be presented at the ESP Coproduction Forum 2020, alongside our 12 projects in development

As European Short Pitch always aims to be at the forefront of the ever-changing needs of the short film industry, the Coproduction Forum also dedicates a space for projects in post-production to supply the selected filmmakers with a platform to find a co-producer, to complete the film and to promote it on a European level.

Mothers

Selected on the basis of the quality and the potential of their short film projects, these 2 European talents will pitch and showcase excerpts of their works-in-progress in front of the panel of professionals invited for the Coproduction Forum.

The Coproduction Forum will take place on  the 12-13 November 2020 in collaboration with the Brest European Short Film Festival.

Participants will benefit from training sessions to prepare and rehearse their presentation. The experts providing consulting will include editor Matthieu Taponier (France) and distributor Wouter Jansen (Netherlands). The showcase will take place in the presence of the invited professionals on the 12th of November, giving them a chance to screen excerpts of their rough cut and to introduce the film and its specific needs; one-to-one meetings with industry professionals will follow on the 13th of November.
