Pustnik Screenwriters Residency is a retreat for filmmakers who are working on their debut feature film. As an organisation and community with the shared mission to support the development of emerging filmmakers, European Short Pitch is delighted to announce this new partnership and excited to see the results of this collaboration.
The goal is to accompany recent ESP alumni in their transition to feature films, by annually offering one of them a place on the Pustnik Screenwriters Residency, with whom we share a similar vision.
Situated in a peaceful and remote location in Enisala, Romania, the Pustnik Screenwriters Residency selects a total of eight projects: two from Romania, six from overseas. The eighth edition will take place 10-17 September, and this year, will feature a project from ESP alumni To Everything There Is a Season, co-written by Kate Voet & Nadja Dumouchel (Belgium/Germany/France).
The selection for the September residency was made from over 70 applications, from 40 countries. Discover more regarding the upcoming residents shortly here.
Residents will work on their screenplays under the supervision of internationally acclaimed guest consultants, whilst staying at the Enisala Safari Village, a venue which overlooks a Medieval citadel, the Enisala Fortress. Pustnik and its alumni will also host free filmmaking workshops for local youth, maintaining its commitment to the local community.
A warm congratulations to Kate Voet & Nadja Dumouchel for this exciting selection!
ESP looks forward to the future of this important partnership between the two organisations.
