European Short Pitch has fresh perspectives for 2020!

In its eagerness to develop new partnerships and being adjusted to both projects holders and industry needs, ESP has chosen to postpone its 14thedition which will run in autumn 2020.

Young European directors, writers and producers with a short film project will be able to apply for ESP starting from the upcoming February until May.

European Short Pitch is an initiative based on the support and development of young European scriptwriters but also aimed to promote the European co-production of short films. Every year, it combines a scriptwriting workshop and a co-production Forum.

From the last 4 edition, over 85% of the selected projects have found a producer, received funding and eventually were made into a film with many of them having a very successful festival career with selections in festivals such as Cannes, Berlin, Venice, Locarno, Clermont-Ferrand and Toronto with as very recent examples: Erenik Beqiri with The Van (Official Short Film Competition of the Festival de Cannes) and Stella Kyriakopoulos with Mom’s Movie (Locarno Film Festival).

Find more information about ESP application regulations here  and stay tuned to catch the next call for short film projects!
